Acorn Ridge Casino opened February 24, 2026, in Plymouth - a $110 million boutique casino from the Ione Band of Miwok Indians and the third casino in Amador County.
The opening
Acorn Ridge Casino opened its doors February 24, 2026, at 17500 Highway 49 in Plymouth, becoming the third casino in Amador County alongside Harrah's Northern California and Jackson Rancheria. The Ione Band of Miwok Indians broke ground in October 2024 after roughly two decades of negotiations and federal legal battles over the tribe's right to build on its 228 acres of ancestral land.
What is there
The $110 million property is a 60,000-square-foot boutique casino with a 25,205-square-foot gaming floor: 484 slot machines and 12 table games including blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and several poker variants. Dining includes a farm-to-fork restaurant and bar plus a grab-and-go market, and the 372-seat outdoor entertainment venue hosts live music and community events. The house players' program is Ridge Rewards.
What it means for the county
Acorn Ridge gives Plymouth its first casino and Amador County three distinct gaming destinations: Jackson Rancheria's full resort, Harrah's Caesars-backed floor in Ione, and now a modern boutique property minutes from Shenandoah Valley wineries. There is no hotel attached, but the tribe's 46-room Oak Ridge Inn sits a two-minute walk away.
